dracut software package provides Low-level tool for generating an initramfs image (automation), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dracut
dracut is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dracut package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dracut *
You will get with dracut package name, version, architecture and description in a table
